In June 2020, Surf Life Saving NSW announced that they were commissioning an independent review into how the organisation develops deeper and more meaningful interactions, interdependencies, and presence within the broader Emergency Services Framework.
The Review, conducted by Risk Intelligence, gives particular attention to how each of the various levels of the SLSNSW Emergency Response System operate within the broader NSW Emergency Service Framework. We evaluated SLSNSW’s position and maturity within the Emergency Management Framework against other state entities.
The Review’s final report provides recommendations that range from improvements to operational systems and enhancements to training through to significant strategic changes to the structural framework within the organisation. It is anticipated the report will provide the organisation with opportunities to engage and provide Government a clear ‘blueprint’ for future engagement.
